I’ll have to admit I liked 2010 at least a tad bit better than 2011. Though 2011 could’ve been a year in which more important things happened.
I do know I fulfilled one of my new year’s resolutions from this year and that was to get accepted into the RN program.
I found more time for my friends this year after finishing hibernation in 2010.
My family overcame very difficult circumstances earlier in the year and I am very grateful for that.
I turned 21 this year.
I passed fundamentals, theoretical framework, medical surgical 1, and the first half of pharmacology.
Honestly, this year wasn’t as memorable per say, but I’m thankful for everything that’s happened. God is good and he’s given us so much that we take everything for granted. Let’s be grateful for everything not just because we should be, but also because we really don’t know if or when we’re going to lose some of the things that matter most to us.
Here’s to 2012. May God bring us yet another year full of blessings. I look forward to new beginnings as well as possible “renewals” or miracles.
And also here’s to 2nd and 3rd semester of nursing school. School is something I will NOT fail.
Speaking of which, here are some of my new year’s resolutions:
- Pass 2nd and 3rd semester
- Get in shape
- Get more sleep
- Manage time better (STOP PROCRASTINATION)
- Balance school with family, friends, and “me” time.
- Find a position (ie. ER tech) at Kaiser between 3rd and 4th semester so that when I pass NCLEX and get RN licensure I can work as an RN there. (hopefully ICU/CCU or at least Med-surg)
- Make connections, for both professional and casual purposes
- continue to become a better nurse
- continue to seek a better relationship with Christ
