I’m guilty of this too. (At times, it can be a good thing, but..)

It’s interesting how we’re never satisfied. Regardless of how much we have in life, whether it’s the tangible or non tangible things, we’re just never quite satisfied and we always seem to feel the need for more. I guess it’s just another human fallacy that works under our ego, our “self-righteous,” subconscious cognition. There are times I’ll have to admit that it’s NOT subconscious. For instance, at this very moment, I’m talking to my cousin Chris about some fixed-gear bikes that cost hundreds of bucks. I know damn well it’d be stupid on my part to pay for something so impractical. They’re great bikes, but I’m no rich kid. I’d rather blow my money on something that would benefit me so much more in the long run than a stupid bike. Had I bought one, I wouldn’t have been satisfied in the end because I would have found out later that there are nicer bikes out there that I could have spent for the same amount of money. Sound familiar?

Anywho, the point is. It’s really amusing how we’re never content with what we’ve already got—And yet, we’re hardly aware of this debilitating thing that’s locked up in our EGO. Then the common excuse goes, “Hey, it’s cool cause we’re human.”

p.s. JK, fixed bikes still rule. ;D
