Why are we all so materialistic?

Yeah, I was at the mall today and it just digusts me how materialistic you guys have become. I’m guilty of it too, but I honestly think most of you guys are waaay worse than me. It’s funny how you guys work for money and throw it all away on some stupid brand names or just so you can MATCH colors with your shoes. LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Go shop at Target or at least have a budget? I wear big brand names too here and there, but if a shirt is more than 10 bucks, fuck that. $20 for a long sleeve shirt, $50 for a stupid hoody that says OBEY or SUPREME in big, obnoxious letters, common now wtf? (I saw one for $25 though at the new ZUMIEZ, which I would have bought myself cause that is hella cheap, but I didn’t have money.) I’m down for that fresh, fly look, but I make sure whatever clothes I buy are dirt cheap or at least reasonable. Forever 21 is great because It’s so cheap and their clothes are illlllll. I can’t believe your average hype beast azn fag doesn’t shop there! I’m awesome, k? See, there’s nothing wrong with big brand names. When it’s excessively overpriced though and you guys buy it anyway, that’s the real problem. You guys are the same people that will be buying fancy ass cars later, but will be living in small, mediocre homes. (maybe even rinkydink apartments) Why’s that? Well because you spent what could have been your down payment for a nicer house on a stupid car. Look at the quote I have posted above that my Dad always tells me. It’s soo true LOL! Look at where I live! My parents always had old or mediocre cars back in the day, but their money went to buying real estate which they would sell later when it became expensive. They’d make mad profit off of that. On the other hand, all the other filipinos bought fancy ass cars. Sure, I’m a big spender too, but at least I spend my money on way more useful things that benefit me. $100 for a nice recording mic vs. $100 for some neon colored shoes to match just ONE stupid shirt in your wardrobe. Seriously, do you think everybody’s looking at you? The point is, we should be saving our money for better things that benefit us. How does it benefit you to keep up with the Jones’s? If you get into that habit of saving, you guys will probably carry it on when you’re adults. That’s what we should be doing with our money. Now I’m not mad. It just boggles my mind how rediculous and absurd our generation is. This is just a ramble and it’s not directed toward any single one of my friends. I know a lot of you guys are like that too. I mean I love you guys, but common now! :O
